Blog Post 9

This is the last post I am going to do this year. I will be doing it over my recommendation of the book Wolf Brother. I gave this book a 5 out of 5. This book had a fabulous beginning that really got the reader intrigued to read more. It also had so much detail that you thought you were there in the book. The descriptions of the setting and all the situations that he encountered were so clear. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys nature, fiction, and hunting.

This week I have started a new book called Wolf Brother. This story has started off with a very action packed beginning. I really do love the beginning. The writer added so much detail that I thought I was there. I could visualize what the battle between the village and the bear felt like. Although the beginning was very action packed it was also very sad. The main character's dad died from a flesh wound. Overall I  believe this book will fit me perfect.

This week I have stopped reading World War Z. This book started off way too slow for my liking. I like an action packed book that really interests the reader. I like it when they make you feel like you are in the story.
In the beginning of the book I felt like I was reading a history textbook. All it was, was the writer giving laws about an airport. I didn't pick up this book to learn about laws of an airport, I picked up this book so i could feel like i was in the Zombie War. Also the laws were really confusing and had lots of confusing words in them. This is the last time I will write about World War Z. The next post I will blog about is Wolf Brother.

Blog Post 6

This week I am going to do my blog post on the setting of World War Z. In the beginning of the book they are in some country part of China. There is a lake and tons of ruins. I picture it being dark with a full moon shining over the lake. The lake is like a mirror reflecting thousands of stars. The story part takes place in a house near the lake where "Patient Zero" is staying. Patient Zero is the first infected human in the world. After the whole incident with Patient Zero it jumps to some random airport in China and talks about some random laws that have nothing to do with the book. This part is very confusing to me. The movie started a lot different than the book. I personally did not like this beginning.

We saw Krista Ramsey in out school. She talked about her columns. What I saw about her writing is, she writes about little things that nobody really hears about or talks about on the news. Her writing is very smooth, informational, and sophisticated. She doesn't want to persuade you but she gives you information about the topic she is talking about that week.

I heard that the book was way worse than the movie. The book is more detailed about how it started and all of the little things that don't really matter. I don't like this book at all really. It goes into too much depth and I don't really like that. I don't really like how it goes into minor details that don't really matter.

The movie on the other hand I heard was amazing. I did watch the beginning of the movie and it started out nothing like the book. The reason I am quitting this book soon if it doesn't get good is because it started off way too slow. The movie started off fast and action packed. Just the way I like it. If the book started out this way I might continue reading it.

I am reading World War Z and the tone of this book is depressing. I watched some clips of the movie and I don't think that is the same tone as the book. The book goes more deeper into what happened before the outbreak happened.. The movie jumps more into action and the actual fighting of the zombie war. I am getting this tone from the book because (Patient Zero) is a little boy who was the first infected in the world. So, to me that is pretty depressing that a boy is infected with such a terrible disease.
The movie is giving me a tone of seriousness because the movie is them killing zombies and taking care of his family. The book is a lot more creepy because it goes into really deep detail and the movie just focuses on the fighting aspect. The movie doesn't tell you how it starts. It goes straight into fighting, and the book tells you more about what happened in the beginning.
